With over 25 years in the insurance industry, Bill has provided strong expertise within the Claims Unit and has participated in various trainings to the Division overall. Bill has cultivated excellent relationships with our Insureds, and he is widely respected among his peers, outside lawyers and others he encounters. In addition to his professional demeanor, he has a memorable personality that is appreciated by many. He is admired for his genuine character that can be seen through his strong sense of loyalty, honesty and integrity. He has been described as having a strong moral compass that influences all his claim handling and business decisions. After all, he is an Eagle Scout!

Before joining Great American, Bill was the facilities group claims manager at a leading environmental insurance carrier, where he worked managing all aspects of environmental claims. He handled several complex claims directly, including the Remediation Stop-Loss book and supervised a team of claims counsel adjusting environmental claims nationwide and in Canada. Prior to his entry into the insurance industry, Bill was a senior associate with a New York based national law firm providing specialized support for the insurance industry. Bill's defense practice included products liability, toxic torts, E&O and insurance coverage matters. He also worked for several years at a Philadelphia law firm which provided comprehensive legal support and services primarily for a refining company. 

Bill holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Lafayette College and master's degree in information studies from Drexel University. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Temple University School of Law. He is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bars, as well as various courts, including the United States Supreme Court.

We wish Bill many years of health and happiness in retirement. We will miss his diligence, his wit and humor as well as all his valuable contributions to the Division.
